Fang Chuxiong, born in 1950 in Shantou, Guangdong. In 1997 he was named one of “The Top 100 Chinese Artists of ’97” by the China Artists Association. In 2004 received the Huang Binhong Award of Chinese Art Academy and the Best Teacher Award of Guangdong province. In 2010 received the title of “Advanced Worker on Building Spiritual Civilization” of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts High Morality and Skills Distinguished Teacher Award and Award for Outstanding Achievements in Creative Education and Scientific Research. In 2011 received the Distinguished Teacher of Guangdong Higher School Award and Special government allowances of the State Council.
