A Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting exhibition participant, a friend of the World Calligraphy Museum, a wonderful calligrapher, Mr. Mao Guangsong, came from Beijing to his hometown of Huai’an to attend the Science and Technology for People. I am participating in the struggle event May 30 dedicated to the National Day of Science and Technology Workers of Huai’an City 2020.
“Science in the fight against the epidemic” and “Scientific and technological innovation” are the two main topics of the event. 100 participants from all over the city who bravely fought against the coronavirus epidemic were selected for participation, 74 people helped in Hebei Province, and 26 worked in the city of Huai’an. One of the 100 awarded participants received a state award.
Thanks to the interviews with the event participants, speeches, and video broadcasts, all those present managed to look back and recall the work that was put into the fight against the epidemic, to generalize the experience of discoveries and scientific and technological innovations, to reward people who made an outstanding contribution to the fight against coronavirus.
Mr. Mao, who was touched by the exploits of his hometown inhabitants, decided to present his work as a gift to all participants, as well as to two advanced institutions, thus expressing respect to the residents of his hometown who devoted much time and effort to the fight against coronavirus. As Mr. Mao told us, all 102 works are exhibited in the city government office hall at present. It is also planned to hold a traveling exhibition.
In the video report, which was prepared by the Huai’an Daily newspaper, the master said that The Sun of Life is one of the central topics which one of the works was devoted to. Mr. Mao explained its meaning in this way: “Faced with such a disaster, these people were able to perform fearlessly, using the studied means of science and technology, treatment methods, they saved the lives of people. It brings light into our lives. This is the Sun of life.” The calligrapher also emphasized that he was not tired at all, creating his works, since he believes that his work is not worth mentioning in comparison with what the heroes who selflessly fought against the epidemic did. The calligraphic works that Mr. Mao prepared for the participants in this event are devoted to philosophy, character development, and strong intentions, while no work is the same.
