During their business trip to China, the team of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy visited Zhang Hai Museum of Calligraphy in Yanshi, Henan province, on August 22, 2018. The history of this museum closely resonates with a renowned countryman, Mr. Zhang Hai, honoured Chairman of the All-China Association of Calligraphy, Manager of the Institute of Contemporary Calligraphy and Print, and a great calligraphy talent of today’s China.
At the meeting with Mr. Li Jianye, Director of the Museum, and his team, Alexey Shaburov gave a comprehensive overview of the activities of his own museum in Moscow, and the plans to organize a unique exhibition, the Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, which is scheduled for September 20-22, 2019. The event is designed to celebrate the milestone date – the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relationships between Russia and China.
Mr. Li Jianye thanked Alexey Shaburov and his team for their visit and expressed his hope for a fruitful collaboration between the two museums, wishing the Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting success.
