On December 28, 2018, the team of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy visited Nantong, Jiangsu province, and attended the opening of Gu Daming’s, a renowned Chinese artist, museum.
Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, Alexey Shaburov, was invited to the ceremony as a guest of honour. He made an opening speech for the museum guests and sponsors, and presented a gift to its founder, Mr. Gu Daming, from the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and the National Union of Calligraphers.
A brief dedicated tour by Mr. Daming followed, where he spoke of his works and creative path. Alexey Shaburov in return invited the artist to take part in the Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting exhibition, scheduled for September 20-22, 2019, and agreed to meet with him in Beijing in January 2019 to agree upon all the details.
