On Sunday, September 22, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Russian Federation Mr Zhang Hanhui visited the Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition

Exhibit hall 7a in Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre has launched the most anticipated cultural event of the year – “The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” exhibition, designed to celebrate a landmark date, the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China

In the lead-up to an epic cultural event scheduled for September 20-22 in Sokolniki Park, Chairman of the Chinese Association of Calligraphers “Sharp-pointed Nibs” and exhibitor of the “Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting,” Zhang Huaqing, met with China Premier Li Keqiang in the Kremlin.

The Chairman of the China Calligraphers Association, Mr. Su Shishu, has made a custom inscription that bears the name of the forthcoming “Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” exhibition, scheduled for September 20-22, 2019, in Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre

The Deputy General Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, Alexey Kharyutkin, visited an ink factory in Huangshan, Anhui province, on August 25, 2019, as a part of his business trip to the People’s Republic of China. Factory Director, Mr. Chen Guosheng, met the Moscow guest in person, and gave a tour of the unique plant showing the process of making the renowned ink

On August 21, 2019, the Deputy Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy Alexey Kharyutkin met in Beijing, the capital of China, with a group of calligraphers, which will participate in the forthcoming exhibition “The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting,” due September 20-22, 2019

Alexey Kharyutkin, the Deputy Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, met wit Mr. Xie, Director of WangIPing brush factory in Huzhou, on August 25, during his business trip across China. Kharyutkin donated a gift from the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy – an artwork named “Xi – the Mentor of China” made by renowned Russian calligrapher Yuri Koverdyaev, while Mr. Xie in his turn donated a set of gift brushes to the Museum

On July 11th during the business trip to China the team of the Contemporary museum of calligraphy visited a unique entity- a brush manufacturing factory.

A delegation from the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy took part in the annual congress of the Sharp-Pointed Nib Association on April 20, 2019, subject to the special invitation sent to Alexey Shaburov by the Association Manager Zhang Huaqing

On April 2 Alexey Shaburov, Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, met with a renowned artist and calligrapher Liang Jiyong. At the meeting Alexey gave an overview of the new project scheduled for 20-22 of September this year
