Over the past ten years, Alexey Shaburov has initiated a series of events to promote the cultural exchange development between our countries

Auspicious works of art were gifted to Japanese representatives on behalf of the city during an exhibition ceremony on Saturday to honor the friendship and understanding between China and Japan amid the COVID-19 epidemic.

A Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting exhibition participant, a friend of the World Calligraphy Museum, a wonderful calligrapher, Mr. Mao Guangsong, came from Beijing to his hometown of Huai’an to attend the Science and Technology for People. I am participating in the struggle event May 30 dedicated to the National Day of Science and Technology Workers of Huai’an City 2020.

Both Prof.Mao and Prof.Yuan are long time partners of the World Calligraphy Museum. They took part in Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Commemorating to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, visited Moscow and performed calligraphy workshops. Their works are part of the collection of the World Calligraphy Museum.

Alexey Shaburov, Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, and Mr. Fan Dian, Chairman of the All-China Association of Writers and Artists, and head of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, met in the capital of China, where Shaburov shared his impressions of taking part in the 12th session of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace, and Development, as well as of his meeting with Mr. Wang Qishan

On November 8, 2019, a delegation of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre visited the office of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to take part in the awarding ceremony of the 4th national contest of Chinese calligraphy “Guozhen Cup.”

Galina Kulikova, the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Board of the Association for Russian and Chinese Friendship, attended the event as one of the guests of honour, and Shaburov made a specific mention of her contribution to the development of the relations between Russia and China in his speech at the opening ceremony.
